Parking

We have had a lot of questions regarding parking for our Spring Event.

One of the biggest reasons we decided to not charge admission was because people will most likely need to pay for parking. We have had many people voice their concern about parking costing more than admission would have. This may or may not be true, depending on where you park and how many people ride in a vehicle together. Below is the parking situation for Saturday, April 28, 2012 in downtown GR.

-Meters downtown are free to park at on Saturday (except on Monroe Center).
-GR City Ramps (across from DeVos Place and attached to DeVos Place) are $1 per half hour.

So depending on how long you are at the event will depend on how much you pay. We encourage you to ride with a friend to cut down on parking costs. If you share a ride it will definitely be cheaper for you to pay for parking than pay for admission for multiple people.

If you purchase large items there will be a loading area that you can leave you stuff and pull your car up to. This will cut down on people  having to haul large amounts of stuff through parking garages. We will have this loading zone staffed with volunteers to help you!

Vendors who choose to set up Friday night can park at any meter in Grand Rapids after 5pm for free. You will be able to pull in to the building to unload and then you can find a parking spot and come back. If you choose to park in a City ramp it will be $1 per half hour.
